(4) Due to its high rotation coefficient, it is not conducive to the use of deep well lifting.
(5) The hemp core has a small volume and weak oil storage capacity. It is easy to produce oil in the early stage, and it is easy to lack oil in the later stage.

Features and advantages of round strand wire rope
The steel wire rope of the round strand structure is twisted with equal lay lengths in each layer of steel wire, while the lay lengths of the inner and outer steel wires are equal.
As a result, the steel wires between the layers are parallel to each other and are in line contact.

Advantage:
(1) Good flexibility, avoiding stress concentration and reducing frictional resistance between steel wires.

The difference between round strand wire rope and triangular strand wire rope
1. From the perspective of production cost, there are two production processes for triangular strand wire rope: round strand compaction method and spiral forming method. The strands of the round strand compaction method are bent and deformed by a pre-deformation device, and the round strands are compressed and deformed by a triangular roller, and the strands change from round strands to triangles. The helical forming method requires special production equipment to produce the strands and preform the pitch; the strands with the pitch are twisted on the finished machine, and the strands are bent, deformed and twisted by the pre-deformation device. No matter which method is used, the production equipment of triangular strand wire rope is more complicated than that of round strand rope, and the process is more complicated than that of round strand rope. Even without considering the difference in material price, the production cost of triangular strand wire rope is about one third higher than that of round strand wire rope (market ton price).

In the two production processes of the triangular strand wire rope, the steel wire is subject to additional compressive stress to form the triangular strand section, so the breaking force of a single wire of the triangular strand wire rope is usually smaller than that of the round strand rope. The breaking force of the whole rope will also be affected.

Generally speaking, the volume of the triangular-strand wire rope is always larger than that of the round-strand wire rope, and the relative core volume will be smaller than that of the round-strand rope. between 1.5-2%. In order to ensure this ratio, the oil content of the triangular strand wire rope core will be higher than that of the round strand rope. Usually the oil content of triangular strands is 25-30%, while the round strands are only 14-18%. This difference is manifested in that a large amount of oil is produced in the early stage of the triangular strand wire rope, and there will be no oil or serious oil shortage in the later stage. Therefore, the triangular strand wire rope is more prone to corrosion and internal wear in the later period of use, resulting in the early scrapping of the wire rope.
